Plant-based meal ideas for Family Day

At Boosh, we believe that plant-based eating doesn’t have to be bland or weird—quite the opposite, in fact. To create our products, we’ve taken our favourite comfort-food meals and removed the meat, but not the flavour.  Each of our offerings is easy to make, low in calories and sodium, and made with non-GMO plant-based ingredients.

With Family Day on the horizon (in parts of Canada), we’ve curated dinner ideas that you can quickly pull together.  No need to spend Family Day cooking; Boosh can take of dinner.

For the meat eaters: Our Hearty Shepherd’s Pie Entrée

This entrée features Beyond Meat® Beyond Beef® Crumbles for a meaty texture and taste in a mushroom gravy and topped with garlic mashed russet and sweet potatoes.

It’s packed with so many veggies that you don’t need sides, but if you wanted to add some crunch, we suggest a side salad drizzled with your favourite vinaigrette dressing.

For the pastry fans:
Our Rustic Veggie Pot Pie Entrée for two

The golden crust of this pot pie is gluten-free—and just the beginning. Beneath the flakey surface are mushrooms, sweet potatoes, broccoli, peas and corn, drenched in mushroom gravy. You and your family will not be missing the meat.

This is another dish that can stand alone or be complemented by a side salad.

For the pasta lovers: Our Veggie Bolognese Bowl

Brown rice penne is topped with hearty chunks of Beyond Meat® Beyond Beef® Crumbles and mushrooms in a savory tomato sauce. Bonus? The penne is gluten-free.

For the cheese pleasers: Our Mac & Cheeze & Peas Bowl

Our twist on this untouchable classic, checks the creamy and tasty boxes without the dairy or gluten. We added some peas for good measure.
